Description

Crafted by Woolstar for The Honest Label

Made locally in Sydney with 500gsm Tasmanian Downs wool, the Holborn Eco Pure Wool Winter Quilt delivers deep winter warmth with a surprising sense of airiness. Though generously weighted, the exceptional Downs wool creates a high, airy loft that feels soft, draping gently without the heaviness typical of winter quilts.

Customers describe it as "gorgeously warm," "snuggly," "lightweight but toasty," and warm enough to replace layers of blankets while remaining breathable. This quilt retains bounce and comfort year after year.

Encased in a premium 420 Thread Count Cotton sateen that's smooth, quiet, and free from harsh chemicals, it's an ideal choice for allergy-sensitive sleepers and anyone seeking natural winter comfort. Thoughtfully finished and packed in a reusable eco cotton bag, the Holborn Eco Pure Wool Winter Quilt brings reliable warmth, lasting loft, and quiet luxury to every night.

What Makes Our Wool Quilt Different?

Not all "Australian wool" is truly Australian.
Many quilts sold in Australia are made overseas even though it is called Australian Wool Quilt.

We partner with Woolstar, a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer based in Ingleburn, Sydney, who’ve been producing premium wool bedding locally for over 30 years. Every quilt in our exclusive Holborn collection uses 100% Australian Tasmanian wool, and is manufactured right here in Ingleburn, Sydney.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this quilt actually warm enough for me?
This 500gsm winter weight downs wool quilt is one of the heaviest wool quilts sold in Australia, and it will keep you warm in bed while the outside temperature is around 2 degrees with no heating inside the house. This will be warm enough even for Victorian and Tasmanian winters.
Is it genuinely Australian Made?
Yes. The wool quilt is made exclusively for The Honest Label by Woolstar, in the Woolstar Ingleburn Factory in Sydney. There’s a video of our manufacturing process.
Is it safe for my allergies?
Wool is naturally resistant to dust mites, which need moisture; wool wicks away moisture.
Is your quilt’s fabric loud when the quilt is moved around in bed?
No. Unlike some cheaper products which use a stiffer fabric, our Holborn Wool Quilt uses premium 420TC sateen fabric, which is softer and very quiet.
Is the quilt easy to care for?
The Holborn Wool Quilt is machine washable.

Wool Properties
Comfort for Every Season

Think wool’s just for winter? Think again. Our Eco Wool Range features a versatile mid-weight fill that keeps you cozy in winter and breathable in summer - making it the perfect all-season choice. Plus, it’s sustainably sourced, so you can sleep better in more ways than one.

Naturally Hypoallergenic

Wool is a quiet hero for sensitive sleepers. It naturally resists dust, moisture, and bacteria - reducing allergens and helping you breathe easier, night after night. It’s a smart choice for those with allergies, asthma, or simply a love for clean, healthy bedding.

Effortless to Care For

Yes, our wool range is machine washable. Just a gentle wash a couple of times a year is all it takes. For everything in between, give it a good shake and let it breathe. Wool thrives in fresh air and sunshine.

NanoAir™ Technology by Woolstar - Engineered from the inside out

Woolstar × The Honest Label

NanoAir™ Technology

Our NanoAir™ Technology cards 100% Tasmanian Downs wool to fibre level, then builds them into dozens of ultra-thin stacked layers. Each layer locks millions of air nano-pockets between naturally crimped wool strands - creating a self-regulating microclimate of warmth and breathability that responds to your body all night long. Combined with our precision quilting pattern, this delivers extraordinary loft, softness and natural thermoregulation.

01

Precision Carding

Tasmanian Downs wool is carded at optimal moisture to produce a gossamer-fine warding - a single veil of individually separated fibres.

02

Nano Layer Stacking

Dozens of warding sheets are stacked to build a three-dimensional lattice where each crimped fibre holds its neighbours apart, locking in air at nano-scale.

03

Living Microclimate

Millions of nano-pockets form between the fibres of each layer, creating a micro-environment that traps warmth and buffers humidity as you sleep.
